For twenty long, dark years you’ve been
Watching me float by
Seventeen shared nations’ glory
This laboratory in the sky
Our home and all that are in it
A full view each ninety-three minutes
Two-forty climbed aboard to see
This pale blue dot in all its fragility
Step through the airlock and you
Witness the cupola view
A monument to
What humans can do
Constantly falling
And I hear it calling to me
Abandon the pull
Of Earth’s gravity
Two-fifty miles above us
Brave men and women, the top of our species
Hard at work on seventeen modules
Pushing the scientific boundaries
A bargain at one-fifty billion
The outcomes have been oh so much more
Every one hundred fifty seconds they’ll fly
A thousand miles to show up at your door
Step through the airlock and you
Witness the cupola view
A monument to
What humans can do
Constantly falling
And I hear it calling to me
Abandon the pull
Of Earth’s gravity

Don’t feel a sense of urgency for much
My blood, it makes me colder to the touch
But no matter how endangered I may be
My thirteen shields will save me. Lucky me
Safe in the peace of my terrarium
Afraid to make a move, the species: done
And even if, on my back, you got me
I would just flail around so helplessly
Capture me. Watch me die
Soak me in formaldehyde
Just so you can see what is inside
Capture me. Watch me die
Soak me in formaldehyde
Just so you can see what is inside
You drink your tea and wear your many hats
I wish I’d race your rabbit, not my rats
But know that I, at least, will never drown
And behind your world it’s me all the way down (down down down down)
Capture me. Watch me die
Soak me in formaldehyde
Just so you can see what is inside
Capture me. Watch me die
Soak me in formaldehyde
Just so you can see what is inside
Capture me. Watch me die
Soak me in formaldehyde
Just so you can see what is inside
Capture me. Watch me die
Soak me in formaldehyde
Just so you can see what is inside

Fall of the Empire

Raise the flag and
Raise your right hand
Raze this fine land
Proud are we
I can tell you
Nation’s good to
All of those who
Look like me
Genders, races
Shapes of faces
Different places
Close our eyes
Others’ interests
Love, forgiveness
These will bring us
Our demise
Goodbye to this status quo, bloated, sick, and rotten
Would I could miss such a show that soon’d be forgotten
Should my two fists sift the snow fallen to the ground
That buried the signs of our civilization long gone down?
Leader chosen by a quorum
Strength is what we need to see
Bumbling puppet, fascist’s forum
Give us idiocracy
Subjugate the opposition
Knowledge is our greatest foe
Winning is our holy mission
Fear’s the weapon, strike the blow
Goodbye to this status quo, bloated, sick, and rotten
Would I could miss such a show that soon’d be forgotten
Should my two fists sift the snow fallen to the ground
That buried the signs of our civilization long gone down?
Believers unite and the infidels smite ‘til they’re broken
The militaries will have all that they need, we have spoken
Take from the needy and give to the greedy, they’ve earned it
Arm yourself, someone else is trying to come and burn it
Down!
To rubble with the walls of the liars! (Trace the truthful path)
To scrap with the drills of the deniers! (Face the aftermath)
To ash with the self-serving pious! (Brace for holy wrath)
To hell with it all! (Just say goodbye)
I’m ready to watch it all fall
(The time has come)
(The time has come)
(The time has come)
(The time has come)
(The time has come)
(The time has come)
(The time has come)
(The time has come!)
Goodbye to this status quo, bloated, sick, and rotten
Would I could miss such a show that soon’d be forgotten
Should my two fists sift the snow fallen to the ground
That buried the signs of our civilization long gone down?

Everything is gonna work out OK
Smile, be happy
Your friends’ll help you make it through the day
Smile, be happy
Everything is gonna work out OK
Smile, be happy
Your friends’ll help you make it through the day

Written Like a Poem

Written by: Adrian Morrison and Alex Smoligovets
I know I can count on you
When I push the button you do exactly what you’re supposed to
Making my heart do flips
Beauty, power, simplicity underneath my fingertips
I can learn your secrets if I so choose
I don’t have the time. I’ll just sing the blues
Because you’re written like a poem
A clear expression and flow of
Logic, delightfulness
Your benefits are boundless
You’re so smooth
I’m entranced by the way you operate and the way you move
Because you’re written like a poem
A clear expression and flow of
Logic, delightfulness
Your benefits are boundless
I can talk to you
I can talk to you
I can talk to you
If I’m lonely I can talk to you
You make my life seem simple, but I know your work is hard
Let’s be real, commitment is just not in the cards
Oh I know I can count on you
When I push the button you do what you’re supposed to do
Because you’re written like a poem
A clear expression and flow of
Logic, delightfulness
Your benefits are boundless
Ooh yea, you’re boundless
